Editor notes elsewhere on the site are labelled as editor notes. The venue lists in Venues across Greece are compiled from published guides, not from Deniz’s picks.
A pick is never paid for. If a business ever pays for a placement, it is labelled as sponsored and kept apart from Heart Picks.

How we check reviews. Reviews on Heart Greece are written by readers: for now they reach us by email, and once accounts open they will be written by registered users. We do not check whether a reviewer actually visited or bought from the place, so reviews are not verified as coming from customers. Before publishing, we check every review for spam, links, personal data and breaches of our rules, and we remove reviews we find to be fake or paid for. Businesses cannot pay to remove or reorder reviews. Reviews are shown newest first.
