Over 65 from Greece or the EU: half price at state sites, October to May

What: Admission tickets at 50% of the full price.
Who offers it: Hellenic Ministry of Culture
Where: State archaeological sites, historical sites, monuments and museums run by the Ministry of Culture.
Valid: 1 October 2026 to 31 May 2027. The rule runs from 1 October to 31 May every year.
Conditions: Senior citizens over 65 from Greece or another EU member state, showing an ID card or passport for age and country of origin.

Athens 3 day tourist ticket: €20 with a return airport trip

What: 72 hours of unlimited public transport in Athens plus one return trip between the airport and the city, for €20.
Who offers it: OASA, the Athens Urban Transport Organisation
Where: Athens buses, trolleybuses, trams, metro lines 1, 2 and 3 and the suburban railway between Magoula, Piraeus and Koropi; the airport trip by metro or Express bus. Also valid on the X80 bus.
Valid: Current OASA fare, valid for 3 times 24 hours from the first validation.
Conditions: Full price product, no proof needed. For comparison, a return metro airport ticket alone is €16 and a daily ticket €4.10.

Blue Star Ferries to Crete: under 5s free, 5 to 12 half price

What: Children under 5 travel free in Economy class; children from 5 to 12 pay half on all passenger fares.
Who offers it: Blue Star Ferries
Where: Blue Star Ferries sailings to Chania and Heraklion in Crete, as listed on its Crete discounts page.
Valid: Current fares, with no end date given.
Conditions: Under 5 means up to 4 years and 364 days; a zero fare ticket must still be issued, and cabins and aircraft type seats are 50% off. The half fare runs from 5 years and one day up to 12 years and 364 days. Discounts cannot be combined; the largest one applies.

What: Half price on all passenger fares except LUX cabins, and 20% off cars and motorbikes on Piraeus to Chania and Piraeus to Heraklion.
Who offers it: Blue Star Ferries
Where: Blue Star Ferries sailings to Chania and Heraklion in Crete.
Valid: Current fares, with no end date given.
Conditions: For International Student Identity Card (ISIC) holders, including students of foreign universities and private schools, but not high school students. Show the card when buying the ticket and again when boarding. The vehicle discount applies only if the vehicle registration certificate is in the student’s name.
